While the root cause of the failure -- Senator Clinton's mismanagement, President Clinton's misjudgment or the overwhelming power of special interests allied with Republican self-interest -- is not all that clear, what is clear is that the health care debacle was a train wreck, and Senator Clinton became a lightning rod during the process.
