You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with the Gods, whatever you conceive them to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world....taken from Desiderata

Myanmar regime accused of hoarding cyclone aid - NewsFlash - mlive.com

"The United Nations said Tuesday that only a tiny portion of international aid needed for Myanmar's cyclone victims is making it into the country, amid reports that the military regime is hoarding good-quality foreign aid for itself and doling out rotten food.
The country's isolated military regime has agreed to accept relief shipments from the U.N. and foreign countries, but has largely refused entry to aidworkers who might distribute the aid.
Two U.S. planes have already delivered aid to the country, and, in an apparent broadening of the initial agreement, the government seemed willing to allow future shipments."

In the east-side Portland area we can get 'locally grown organic honey' at the Bob's Red Mill store in Milwaukie. It tastes great, too.

Honestly, it all fell into place when I read this article. I don't care either way - if Hillary is, she is; if she's not, she's not. I shrug my shoulders over this. She is obnoxious either way. But even the notorious Drudge Repost backed off this one (or was backed off ...)
Over the years Bill Clinton's "sex life" has been scrutinized over and over again - he hasn't been given a break - not by the media, and certainly not by the Republicans and Conservative Right. Why is it that Hillary has been untouchable? I don't get it, I guess. One thing is for sure, however - if this is true (and there is no reason to believe that it isn't) it really puts into perspective the sheer magnitude of the Clintons' love of - and quest for - power, especially from Bill Clinton's perspective. He's been willing (more than willing) to be the fall guy since day one.

There is nothing wrong with being satisfied with what you've got. What did the Sheryl Crow song say? "It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got".

Great list - as for me, I would add Ankgor Wat in Cambodia, Himeji Castle in Himeji, Japan and the City of Petra in Jordan.

What a shame the word 'Pagan' has such negative connotations in this country. The history of this belief system is amazing. Paganism encompasses a diverse community with some groups concentrating on specific traditions, practices or elements such as ecology, witchcraft, Celtic traditions or certain gods.
Thankee Haxwell for the post.
